... as seen from across the river. We took the tube and a bus out to Greenwich today. Even more touristy than it was a few years ago. We decided to walk from there through the tunnel that runs under the Thames to the Isle of Dogs. Knew about this tunnel but have never walked it before. It was constructed in 1902 (see third extra) when many workers lived on the south side of the river and worked in the docks north of the river. It was damaged at the beginning of the blitz in WWII and urgently and strongly repaired - very visible to this day.
The shop in Greenwich in the second extra makes an interesting claim and the first extra is Piccadilly Circus last night.
