On the way to the shops!

On Saturday mornings, I walk from home to the shops in Bondi Junction. (Husband brings the car so we can get the groceries home!) This is Oxford Street beside Centennial Park, which is on the right. It is a huge park (220 hectares) with some areas like a formal English park with manicured lawns with trees artistically placed. Other areas are left quite "wild", and there are also rose gardens and palm tree lined walks and duck ponds, and playing fields, etc. It is wonderful to live near this green oasis. It is also used by equestrians, and there is an associated riding school for children too.
I'm heading towards Bondi Junction, where the huge shopping complex shown in previous blips is located. We have coffee to sustain us, then off to get the weekly grocery supply, a task I don't particularly enjoy but it has to be done if we are to eat!
