Herding children

Hype them up about Christmas and then ask them to sit still...
It doesn't work.

We went to Richard's mum's house this evening so the grandchildren and great-grandchildren could sing Christmas songs for her. It was erm... interesting. The younger children really just wanted to charge around giggling and shrieking.

Gemma and Joel were the only ones who managed to sit still but Joel hid on the floor behind the others.

I hope Richard's mum enjoyed it. I thought it was hilarious.

The rain came but it wasn't as bad as expected. We went for a walk at Putsborough where there has been a landslide right next to a property above the dunes, and a telegraph pole has been taken out.
Tess carried 2 five foot long pieces of wood up and down the beach for some reason. I guess going for a walk is boring at her age and there has to be a purpose - even if it is a slightly odd one!

I seem to be growing a massive zit on my neck especially for Christmas day.
Marvellous.
At my age, too!

Santa just had to fill in a survey before he could leave tonight. I think Tess is testing his credibility...
