Dicentra spectabilis alba

After a morning of classes at the gym I visited a very interesting garden located in a very rural location in Mid Devon.  I was with two friends at a special opening of the garden and we wandered around the 4 acre site to the sounds of birdsong and cows mooing nearby.  The sloping garden had been developed over the 25 years the owners had lived there and comprised several different areas.  We saw some beautiful plants around the gardens as well as a large dew pond with several resident ducks, a bog garden, woodland areas, an outdoor poetry room and a hornbeam rondel.  The tea and strawberry cream cake was also very good.

My blip is of a white Dicentra and I couldn't resist an extra of a parrot tulip.  A lovely afternoon.
