Wound up in Wexford

Percussion quartet

In a complete change of mood, today we went to Norwich Playhouse (yet another repurposed building) to see a percussion quartet.  As you can see, it's only a small theatre, but the concert was a sell out - the audience an eclectic mix of ages and types.

The performers were clearly highly skilled, the music and rhythms lively and challenging.  I felt that many of the nuances of the rhythms were beyond my simple brain.  I'm glad we went, but have to admit we probably won't choose to go to something like that again.
