Heron

Dreaming! I saw the heron again! This time I got pictures! The thoughtful bird was just present when I took the little dirt path to the lake. Samuel didn't scare it, it took a while to decide to flee me. 

I was practicing, trying to see if I could get sharper pictures. I think I'm just being greedy. The eagle's nest is far enough away that to really see them requires cropping. Crop too much and the edges seem to have a double. I've tried it with image stabilization on, on and with a tripod, and off and on the tripod. I shot with my remote app so I wouldn't have camera shake from pressing the shutter. I had 1/2000 shutter speed.
