Earlier today I was so frustrated with all the awfulness. Then I had a wonderful conversation followed by a wonderful conversation followed by a wonderful conversation. 

Years ago I met someone for a few moments. Today she talked with me and helped me with my proposal - she remembered me from so long ago because I knew her brother - and most people who worked at that company then didn't know the IT people so she was surprised that I did. Most people from that company didn't bother to know the IT people. 

Well wow. 

I keep lucking out with this proposal because of past small acts of decency or kindness. 

This is not how I thought the world worked.
