Rivers of poly tunnels, Crosby on Eden

Just after the start of our last leg of the Hadrian's Wall walk at Crosby on Eden, I saw this luminous field of miniature poly tunnels or maybe that should be runnels. Although the sky looks slightly bluish-grey it turned into a very warm, even hot day for the rest of our 18 hike into Bowness on Solway.
