Amazing Acer

We spent the day helping son J in his garden. Their small garden was dominated by a huge cherry tree, beautiful a few weeks ago. However, for the rest of the year it was just too big, so today we attached our long pruner to the car roof and drove over to help them with a huge cutting session. (Extra). The garden is now full of cut branches and next weekend they are hiring a chipper to dispose of it all. With great skill they managed to make sure that none of the branches fell onto the georgeous acer, the star of their garden at the moment.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, working together.
