The Blackwater

This is the blackwater of the Keurboomsrivier. It's incredibly reflective, it was hard to see where the water began and it looked like a straight wall with sky either side. Amazing!

We were on a boat tour, along with some stereotypical, oversized texans. They spent a lot of their time educating us on how in America you can get this thing called cable TV with literally hundreds of channels, incredible! They were alright though...

We got off further up the river and had a wander around the forested area and ate our sandwiches whilst our companions laid out a large buffet on the boat.

Later on, Courtney's grandparents dropped us off in Plett to get onto the Baz Bus. It was the end of our relaxing, comfortable, slow-paced holiday and the start of our South African backpacking adventure! I couldn't wait, though I had really enjoyed my time with Courtney's family.
