Wharfe Calling

Especially with the glorious weather we've had this week, I've been desperate for a dip, and now I have a weekend with the Dales as my playground.
It's our annual WI outing to Kilnsey and four of us set off a little earlier this afternoon planning tea and cake at the café. Unfortunately, due to a power cut, the café was shut. Thankfully the pub was open!

Mr Tesco arrived just as we did so we were soon unpacked and organised before the rest of our group arrived. I had just enough time for a cycle loop round to Burnsall, stopping of for a truly delightful swim in the river. Finally we've got to double figures, the water was calm and beautiful.

Back at the lodge we've had a lovely bring and share meal, beer, wine, chatter and crafts.
