Durian Festival

The durian season is here.   Many shopping malls, big and small, hold durian festivals.  These particular ones didn't smell too bad.   As you can see many people were happy to sit and be served durian, or buy it to take home.   My extra shows a retailer cutting up a durian.  I hadn't realised before just how tough the skin is, he was using a machete but it still took some getting into.

  Hubby bought a pair of new sandles, they were part of his birthday present.  His birthday was over a week ago, but this was our first chance to get to this mall.  On weekends parking there is impossible.  We did a bit of grocery shopping before heading home.
