Water, water everywhere .....

but not a drop from the hose!

Headed up to the allotment first thing this morning to give everything a much needed soaking but when I hooked the hose up nothing happened. Checked at the tap and confirmed the water was flowing when it sprayed all over me, chopped off a dodgy looking bit of hose and reconnected but made no difference. So no option but to resort to the watering-cans and had enough time to water the seedlings but that was it.
Returned this evening armed with assorted tools and with a willing watering-can wielder, took the reel apart, sussed out how the water should be flowing, reassembled, reconnected the hose .... and magic, we had water! And S was more than happy to hose down the whole allotment. Smiles all round.
