Sophie The Artist

We bought Sophie an easel with double--sided board from Lidl at the weekend and, as soon as she saw it when she arrived this morning, she wanted to set to work. On the left she's copying the drawing of Cinderella that was on the box it came in: she kept checking the original, looking critically at her attempt and altering it accordingly until it met with her approval:); after breakfast she insisted on having it set up in the garden so she could draw a flower out there. We've had our money's worth out of it already.

Later we spent 3 hours in the warm sunshine at the outdoor pool with a picnic lunch. One of Kate's old school friends was there with her daughter and the two girls played contentedly together for ages while we chatted.
