Before heading home

Another 0800 meeting to start the day. Today was more satisfying than yesterday. Yesterday was the monthly meeting with the District Inspectors. Lawyers are appointed to be a DI to assist patients (NOT as their representatives but to protect their rights), and to watch closely what we do and do not do. An important task, and mostly they are easy to work with. Its only when they believe that their duties and/or entitlements extend beyond the legislation that we can be at cross purposes.

Today was the steering group for a project related to antipsychotic prescribing. Five pharmacy students have just completed a literature search for evidence on dosages and combinations. Bright, enthusiastic, and eager for the next stage; an audit of current practice. Their report of the literature review looked on quick scan to be top class.
