Costa del Shrews

I had a glorious little 10k run this morning in which I got over excited about the sunshine, went off far too fast and then wilted from about half way. Nice to be out in unbroken blue sky though.

The rest of the day was spent mostly in the quarry with Lucy and Malesi, half pretending to watch the Regatta. I echo looking4beauty’s sentiments about Shrewsbury in the Spring and summer.

After we’d had enough of ‘watching’ the regatta we headed off the the beautiful little suntrap of a terrace at the Olive Tree. I must admit that after 6 years of living in Shrewsbury, this was my first visit. I’m always put off by places that offer tapas (I disagree with the principle of small plates) but I wish I’d come here sooner. Utterly glorious!

I’m a pro at daily SPF’ing my face because I’m entirely terrified of wrinkles but I failed to do anywhere else today and as a result I look exactly as expected: like an English person at the first sight of sun.
