Waiting for the party

They're all dressed up - waiting to go to the 'party' - the two yearly family reunion.  This year with 48 of us (except one family had to pull out last minute due to sick children).

We had the most lovely day, leisurely breakfast, then a National Trust property before a quick turn-around before heading out for dinner.

The boys did amazingly well all day. The dinner venue was at the hotel where most people were staying. It also happened to be a golf complex  The youngest (and few others) found the golf carts and could barely be torn away from them.  He was on super over-drive by the end of the evening.  It was just so delightful seeing them both running around with their cousins, second cousins and various other relations (I haven idea what the official connection is between some of them).  They were both utterly in their element.

The evening was rounded off with a quiet cup of tea back at the house - which was all I wanted.
