Fair

Our church had its Summer Fair this afternoon. It was held in the manse car park and we were delighted that the sun shone, although it wasn't particularly warm.

Trade at most our stalls was steady, rather than overwhelming, but that made for quite a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The tea-room, serving cream teas, did very well and seemed to be busy throughout the afternoon and we ran out of burgers and hot-dogs quite early in the proceedings. It's too early to say how much was raised, but all-in-all it was a fun but busy day.

The other good news is that there were quite a few people still around when we finished for the afternoon, so the clearing up and putting away tasks were completed relatively quickly. Always a big bonus!

A lazy evening followed. Reckon I've earned it.
