Lights

I love these hanging lights that are at the modern mall in Chiang Mai.   It is the mall where we often eat Chinese or Korean food.  Last night we enjoyed Chinese food.  My extra is of the construction of our durian dessert.  We are so well known here now that all the staff greet us with smiles as we walk in.  The boss who is the creator of the desserts always brings them over to customers and explains what everything is.  Last night he said "may I explain to you again"  we said of course as it is part of the theater and the impeccable service.  

The last few days have been busy in different ways.  Thailand is not known for soft comfy beds, and the one we had was no exception.  We had to put extra mattress covers and a spare duvet just to try and make it comfortable.  Eventually we gave up and when we saw a sale of beds in a shopping centre we ordered a new Australian brand mattress.  It arrived on Wednesday.  Heaven.  

On Thursday we went to a housewarming party.  Our friends who own the Indian Restaurant we go to have just moved into the house that they have had built.  It is beautiful and I was a bit envious.  In Thailand foreigners can not buy land, therefore we can't build or buy houses.  The only way is to get a Thai person to buy the land.  As you can imagine that can become difficult.   Anyway it was a good party, unfortunately I didn't find a blip opportunity.  

The pollution is easing a lot but it is still very hot weather wise. We are hoping to go on a short road trip in the next couple of weeks.
