Peaceful Protest

On arriving back in ChiangMai we noticed that a lot of the trees around the moat have green ribbons tied around them.  A quick research revealed that it was part of a peaceful protest.  Proposals had been put forward to build houses in the foothills of Doi Sutep,  in order for this to happen trees and native vegetation would have to be removed, many local people felt that this was a bad decision.
