Laburnum, Golden Rain or Golden Chain.

The downside of this pretty tree is that every part of it is toxic. Something I didn't know as an eight year old child when I ate the seeds in a pod. They  looked liked pea pods that I used to help shell As they tasted bitter, I only ate a few and was violently sick. Twenty seeds can be lethal. I never did tell my mother as I felt better after and thought she might give me a dose of medicine. Looking back, my young friends and I would play in the nearby fields and eat a plant we called bread and cheese, also berries if they had a nice taste and beech nuts. So, this tree has triggered many memories, not all good !
