Downing College, East Range.

I passed by on my way to the hairdressers and popped in for today's blip. I liked the old lamp, once gas, but now supplied with electricity. A plaque on the wall says.... D.O.M.    Sir George Downing Bt.  1623-1684, A.B.(HARV 1642) Member of the first graduating class and afterwards first tutor of Harvard College.  By dint of personality, diligence and industry, came the fortune of this foundation.
