Ho Ho!

This was my first sentiment today with the rain beating down relentlessly in the darkness at 9am and the realisation that my stuffy nose was not after all a transient two day wonder.

Still it was onwards and outwards through wet roads slick with rain and windscreen wipers in a frenzy of activity to join the red tail lights of other early motorists out to bring home the bird.

Except we were out to bring home the Brussels Sprouts and Ice cream and thankful, when we saw the snaking queues standing in the rain at the butchers and again at M&S, that no fresh turkey had our name on it.

The boy from Budapest is off into town to do some shopping while I do his washing and wonder if there is time between showers to skip over the Meadows to deliver a cardigan to the new infant inhabitant of the old castle and a birthday present to a friend unlucky enough to have a birthday on Christmas Day.
Ho Hum!
