Blue and Green Blew Us Away!

At some point, you arrive at an age where you feel that you've seen it all, or heard it all, and nothing can rattle you, or make you jump out of your seat.

I received a huge shot in the arm tonight when Rich and I went to hear Blue and Green; a jazz duo comprised of the lovely Kaeli Earle on bass and vocals, and Connor Helms on keyboard and amazing sax, at Bellingham's Fireside Martini Bar. The exuberance and joy and passion and talent that these two young musicians brought to their performance of various jazz standards and Christmas classics was sensational, to say the least. Hearing them perform in such a small, intimate venue as the Fireseide Bar, having seats a mere two feet from them, while chatting with both their MOTHERs brought the evening to another level of enjoyment.

What an exhilirating way to kick off the holidays!
