Rubble Field

This dusty field sits a in front of Sophumelela High School where I teach, strewn with broken glass, broken bricks, and even broken sofas. Many people in the townships walk through here everyday. No one seems to be bothered by it. I know some people used to collect items in here (bricks, etc.) and sell them as building supplies for shacks and other uses, but now its pretty well picked-over and is mostly just a field for walking through.
