O Tannenbaum

Of course, I think my Mum has the most beautiful Christmas tree in the world. It is decorated with pretty trinkets from all over the world, many of which my brothers, sisters-in-law and I have given her.

I have brought her decorations from Munich, Phnom Penh, and New York. Unsurprisingly, I didn't find anything suitable in Gaza, so I picked out two white cotton and lace angels from Amsterdam.

I wasn't home in time to decorate this year, but seeing the tree when I walked in the door from the airport made it really feel like Christmas.
