Carousel

After meeting old colleagues for a catch-up, I spent the afternoon walking around town, flinching from the rain, watching people run themselves ragged buying Christmas presents, listening to carollers sing, and enjoying the buzz and busy-ness.

On Grand Parade, there is a temporary Christmas market with arts and crafts stalls and food vendors. For the kids, there is a helter skelter and two old-fashioned carousels. Magic. If only I weren't too big to take a spin myself!
