Onions from Brittany

Good to see our friendly Onion Johnny back in Romsey today. The French onions from Brittany, shallots, tomatoes and other vegetables are not to be missed whenever the stall returns to the town’s markets.
As it was, we used our last onions just a week ago, so his visit today was much anticipated. Of course we could buy onions at the supermarket . . . But they re not the same! Not sure what it is, but the flavour of the onions from Roscoff and the region around appeal to my palate.
And as for the garlic _ c’est magnifique.
