Teething trauma

I am going to be glad when today is over. I hope not to have many days like today in my life. I am glad they really are few and far between.

Steve woke up poorly (I say woke up, he didn't really), Charley had an awful night and I spent an hour downstairs with him in the small hours after getting some brufen into him to bring his temperature down. His temperature has been high all day - hoping it's "just" teeth to blame and nothing more sinister, there's definitely one more just about breaking the skin anyway, in addition to a handful more hanging around underneath. (In an aside, I saw a picture of a child's skull after all the milk teeth are through today. Urrrgh!!!! Hahahaha ;D Incredible to see where all the adult teeth sit in the skull before they are needed though!)

So I've been tired. Didn't bother getting dressed. Spent most of the day either nursing Charley, consoling him, or sitting with him sleeping. Managed to get an hour or so away from him during the afternoon though to finish an order while Steve wrapped him up for another sleep. Also tried to get some new clay decorations made but managed to burn them after spending all afternoon trying to get them cut out.

One of those days.

Pleased with the cup though :) Must remember to get some snaps of it before it goes out tomorrow morning.

Ordered a pizza for tea to eat while we watched Strictly - the first time we've watched it live this season - and then struggled with the boys and bedtime. Bah.

Back downstairs watching a recording of the results show now. Made the mistake of going on facebook while I put the boys to bed so I know the result too :( silly girl. Supposed to be singing tomorrow, plus got both kids taking part in the service (creche are stars, and sparklers are shepherds - and I've just realised I don't have a star costume for Charley. Ben's shepherd thing is easy, a dressing gown and a tea towel...) and think we might collapse again when we get home....
