Norwegian runs into Tenterden Town station

Bit of a busman's holiday today. Not working on the KESR but went as a passenger having a ploughmans lunch on the 1.15pm departure from Tenterden with Doreen and Susan. The extra is the train at Bodiam waiting to depart with the 2.18pm to Tenterden.

A very enjoyable afternoon even if the train was diesel hauled owing to an ongoing shortage of steam engines. The Norwegian was out on the Victorian Set, running two round trips and made a fine sight as she ran into Tenterden Town Station overseen by the rooftops of the signalbox, the box that I'm currently learning how to work and the levers and instruments I blipped Wednesday.

After the train ride we had a look around the Col Stephen's Museum adjacent to the station. A fascinating places packed with displays of thousands of items of memoribilia about the life and works of this champion of minor railways in the UK.

We finished the day at the Chapel Down vineyard where we tasted a few beverages including an IPA a very special beer in which I've become very interested in since reading a book recently, called Hops and Glory about this very special beer.
