A little ray of sunshine

Inviting

This time last year we had glorious sunshine for the bank holiday weekend. This morning when I left the house, albeit at 7am, it was 5 degrees. Thankfully with only a light wind. Hardly a day gor the beach but perfect for a run down to Bridlington and back, with a swim sandwich between. The water was pretty calm and looked, to me anyway, very inviting. The rules of cold water swimming are to go in gradually allowing your body to adjust. Well that had been my plan, until my feet were taken from under me by a wave. The water wasn't even up to my knees!
Oh well, that got me in and swimming. A jolly lovely it was too. The downside of sea swimming part way through a run is trying to get all the sand out from between your toes before putting your socks back on. A three mile run back to the house soon had me warm again.

Showered, breakfast and all packed pup and it was off to Bempton for a little more puffin spotting before heading back west stopping of for a tasty lunch in a garden centre on the way home.
