River Darent

A beautiful walk after church on the hills (my extra) and valleys along the riverside in Shoreham. So quiet and beautiful. The fresh green of new leaves, the remaining clusters of bluebells and the contrasting yellow of dandelions and cowslips .... just lovely to be out today.

How fantastic to have a river at the bottom of your garden! There are several cottages in a row lucky enough to have this and one has even moored a rowing boat to give the finishing touch.

Back home and the roast in the oven while I helped with a fencing job, and in between I cleared the pots ready to plant tomorrow.

I enjoyed a pink G& T while the veg gently simmered and while stirring the gravy...
