Minimalism...

My entry for Blip Central's Minimalism Challenge. The first city we came to this morning after leaving Montrose was Delta, where we noticed two lots full of old cars, so of course a U turn was done so we could amble around taking pictures of the cars from the 40's, 50's & 60's. This is the handle on the rusted front drivers' side door of one of the cars--probably late 40's or early 50's model. I liked the shadow that followed the shape of the handle. After that we headed to Cisco, listed as a Ghost Town, and had a lovely time wandering around taking pictures there, too. Didn't see any Ghosts, but apparently there are a few people who live in a couple of seedy looking houses that are plastered with "No Trespassing" signs.  Oh well--we didn't walk in their yards! Also saw a prairie dog "village" there too--cute little guys!  I've put a collage of a few of the shots I took in the extras. After that we headed for Moab on a road that ran alongside the Colorado River. We stopped multiple times to take pictures of the people rafting down the river and of the tall, red, irregular rock formations that surround it on both sides. We arrived in Moab about 2, checked into the Hotel at 3, and have met 2 of the other photographers that will make up the 8 of us in the workshop. I'll apologize now for any lack of comments over the next 4 1/2 days, as the couple running the workshop has a lot planned for us every day! :))
