Venturing out...

A friend of mine Dave Herron has preserved two 50 year old Alexander Y Type vehicles that operated around County Durham.  One is an original Venture Transport vehicle and the other is a demonstrator repainted in their livery.  A third is in the workshops!  They made their first North East outing today at the Metro Centre Rally. and Dave was biting his nails for fear of them being damaged by the oiks.

Both vehicles were built in Falkirk by Alexanders onto Leyland Leopard chassis.
