Glories Market (Les Encants)
A lovely day! Breakfast duty for Airbnb guests mother and daughter Deb and Zoe from Melbourne, who arrived yesterday. Zoe's studying teaching in Seville and her mum's visiting her.
Bb and I then went to Glories market (Les Encants). It's a huge flea market, has been on the go all the time we’ve been here, and was given a new lease of life a few years ago with an amazing ceiling. I was on the look out for 'interesting' plant holders and bought two, only spending the coins in my purse. They'll be blipped.
A late lunch in Els Barrils, which is open all day and has become a bit of a favourite. One time we heard the owner refer to us as 'the couple who like to take their time”! And it's true in this place as we often arrive and have a drink while reading the newspaper, then eat and chat, then sit and read on our iPads and people watch. Today was no different and we ended up speaking to a Canadian Chinese couple at the next table to us and then being greeted warmly and bought a drink by the owner of a Galician restaurant near our house. We all joked that we had good taste!
My blip's of the ceiling in the market. You can see all the life going on down below!
