Hare Today....

Always love a hare encounter, and this was probably the closest we've ever had. Driving to the start of a walk (having deposited one car at the end), we'd seen this Hare, stopped, killed the engine, watched it slowly head over a crest. Carried on and saw another, same process, this time getting out to see if I could get a better look, then realised the first was heading down the road towards us. It knew I was there, stopping to eyeball me a couple of times, then used the car to hide behind, before hopping off after the second hare (not full tilt, but not hanging around).

Brilliant walk after that as well, with Guillemots galore, and a stunning Sparrowhawk at the end, with loads of lambs in between, and then a Little Egret in the rain on the drive back.
