second chances
Another dreich horrible day outside with not many blipping opportunities so I thought I would take a blip of the old ice house down on the pier where, funnily enough, they used to store large chunks of ice for use when packing the fish that was brought in by the fishing boats. The building dates from the 1800s and is a listed building. Unfortunately it has lain empty and unused for as long as I can remember, although at one time there had been talk of changing it into a restaurant (albeit a very small one!).
Later in the day hubby and I headed into Portree to take some cardboard and other bits and pieces to the recycling centre and as we were driving along the clouds parted briefly letting the sun shine through and we spotted this lovely rainbow, luckily I had taken my camera with me so managed to get a few shots before the clouds gathered again and the sun disappeared!
