Wait, I need to get a blog photo...

Words that are frequently uttered by me. This photo is what happens when someone tries to document the documentor... it results in confusion.

Last day in Le Puy before Christmas. My first class was sort of (again) cancelled because Thibault's class were doing presentations on super heros so I got to watch these. I think these may just be my favourite class, possibly because there is a girl in the class called Margot who reminds me very much of myself when I was at school. After class I ran (almost literally) to college Lafayette for the Christmas meal. A massive meal, and good company. The English teacher's there are really lovely, especially Maryline who bought me Verveine flvoured macaroons and verveine sirop as a Christmas present. Went to the library to get my monthly fix of Elle... very intellectual!

At 3 o'clock I had a meeting at the prison with Betrand about giving lessons there. I had to show my passport to enter, and go through the body scanner, plus leaving all of my bags outside. After discussions about the classroom and facilities avaliable to me, we decided that I should meet the prisoners to gauge their level of English. It was pretty challenging to my stereotyping to meet my three prisoners, but I actually left excited about teaching there, slightly harrowed but a little excited all the same.

Went to the CAF office again and then home to sort out all the necessary paperwork... somethings are never easy. Tidied the apartment which was in a bit of a state and attempted some packing but didn't get very far before leaving to meet Hati and Dom and Dom's friends Dan and Henry at Le Mappemonde. Stayed for a few drinks but as we kept bumping into pupils we decided to get a cheeseboard and other foods and head back to Hati and Dom's. Lots of Hippocras, wine and general Christmas cheer, helped by the fact that Henry was dressed in a santa costume. Got home around 2 with the feeling that I don't actually want to go home all that much. Le Puy is begining to be a home which is weird.

Oh well, a bientot Le Puy. A demain l'Angleterre!
