A false sense of security??!!

Soooooo........................ today's Blip was going to be about how good I have been since we've come to Cornwall. My toilet training seems to be improving slightly because we have a big field right next to where we live. My recall is amazing unless I'm playing with other dogs. And I am a perfect pooch when I get taken into pubs & cafes.

Today I met Heather and her gorgeous little Cavapoo, Ruby. We went for a play and met Alban, with his very gorgeous little Jack Russell. And I had a wee. Yay!!!


Then we went to the 'Balcony' so that the humans could have lunch. I lay under the table in good dog mode. Ann was soooo, sooooo, proud of me. …................Until she happened to glance down................ and there was no puppy attached to my lead??!! I'd chewed through it and was off on a little jolly to see if anyone had any tasty little titbits for me. Unfortunately for me Fortunately, Ann captured me before I got very far. So I didn't get any tasty little titbits. Boohoo.


We came home through the field but I couldn't be bothered going to the toilet. Ann was NOT happy with me. And then this evening Matt & Amy popped round for an hour at about 5pm-ish. Ann said, 'Trixie, when Matt & Amy leave I'll take you back into the field.' But do you know what?.................. I couldn't wait. So I just squatted down in the living room floor and had the most enormous wee ever!!!


Ann says this puppy training lark is exhausting. We were supposed to be heading back up to Edinburgh tomorrow (because I had an appointment to be spayed on Friday) but because I was doing so well with my toilet training re having a big field right next door, we've decided to stay a few extra days so I'm now getting spayed a week today. After today's antics, what a stupid decision that was.


….......Oh, and there is nowhere in St Ives to buy a new dog lead, so I guess tomorrow I'll be going out in the car somewhere????
