Algae Patterns

Seems I got it wrong, tomorrow is when the bad weather arrives. Today was bright and sunny. Must be a two day thing like delayed muscle soreness. 

Walking along the shoreline I came across this patch of bright green algae partly shadowed by a wonky tree branch. It looks as though it could be an aerial shot of a wide river winding through a jungle landscape, but for the hanging twig and blade of grass poking out of the water bringing a sense of reality.

I think it's the shadow shape that makes it for me, there's so much character in it. Although the green is probably more dominant by area, the dark blue seems to hold sway and demands attention.
