Betsy and Christelle

Tonight Betsy's football team had their Christmas Party. It was at a Turkish restaurant.

The girls all sat together and ate burgers and ice creams, leaving the parents to tuck onto the red wine and kebabs. One of the Dads I talked to is a professional chess player and had lots of fascinating stories of life in the Chess circuit.

Most of the rest of the evening was spent trying to convince Christelle (the girls coach) that I'm serious when I say that under no circumstances will i be playing in the Mothers v Daughters match.

Walked home feeling very Christmassy, nosing through the windows at everyone's Christmas trees.
