South Pacific on the East Atlantic

Another good day, with plenty of warm sunshine when the clouds permitted!

The cinema in Oban is showing a series of musicals, one a month, and today it was 'South Pacific'. Understandably there was not a big audience at noon on a sunny day, and most of them were members of the Oban Community Singers who have been singing songs from musicals. I was persuaded to go and loved it, having not seen it before although I knew most of the songs, of course!

Mitzi Gaynor, as Nurse Nellie Forbush,is not only beautiful but talented and I was pleased to find that she's still alive and kicking at the age of 87 and had been married to the same man for 52 year. Good on you Mitzi!

Walking home after the show I found a good foreground to McCaig's Tower, with blue sky behind - what more could I want?
