Closed for business

This church was in the blip I did from the car-park roof earlier this month.
Having found the way in, I decided to go and have a look around as I love old churches and church graveyards.

It`s Leicester All Saints Church and it dates from between the 12th & 19th centuries. It was built in 1176 and sort of added to and renewed during that time
I was very surprised however to find that it was closed for worship and therefore I couldn`t go in.

On investigation, I discovered that the last service was held in 1982 and it eventually closed for business so to speak in 1986. It now belongs to the Church Conservation Trust. It`s a beautiful building.
