Contrasts

After a busy, rather stressful week, these flowers in the garden were such a delight to see.  I bought this plant  a few years ago but don't recall the flowers on previous years, perhaps because it was a much smaller plant.  

The Easter weekend of being in the sun and doing the garden and allotment seem a long time ago.  Today it is sunny but very windy (50+ mph) so I popped to the allotment to check for damage.  My compost bin was in pieces spread across the plot and the fleece covering my seedlings was billowing in the air.  The bench had also blown over.  I managed to weight most of them back down, apart from the compost bin which will need reconstructing once the wind dies down.
