What A Day!!

Even though I have retired I am still used to early starts so at six am I was up for a shower, toast and coffee before dressing for my day out in the ‘Big Smoke’.
Clare dropped me at the Dell for the 0750 train to Truro, change and 0825 to London Paddington. I dozed for a lot of the journey before arriving late into Paddington at one thirty, a quick tube dash to Green Park and five minute walk to The Clarence pub where I met the others.
Good to see Gary, Jacqui & James, Adrian & Liz, a couple of beers, (staggered at London prices), and all to soon it was time for Tea At The Ritz’.

What a superb experience, hard to put into words, it has to be experienced but what fun. We were stuffed, so much so that after blowing out the candles we brought the birthday cake away with us.

We left after three hours and believe it or not went for coffee then back to The Clarence. We went our separate ways around eight pm, back to Jacqui and James for me were I went to bed shattered at midnight.

What a wonderful day.
