Orchids

These are two I purchased last year and they bloomed for many months. One got a bit sunburnt during a hot morning last summer, they are pretty sensitive. Most people say “don’t fuss” with orchids and they will rebloom for many years, I think I can see a new shoot coming between the leaves so I’m very excited and hoping I might have luck at last.

Their roots go a bit crazy, I might put them in for silly Saturday.

We got down to 1.5° C last night so think winter is not far away. We haven’t had much autumn this year as the days have been up to 30 in our back garden for the last week. Yesterday I bought all the frost sensitive plants in for shelter. Funny weather and the dry conditions continue. I guess the leaves will fall soon.
