Red Plus Blue

This cineraria is the offspring of red and blue flowers I blipped last year. They were in a pot and after they died off little seedlings came up. I planted some in a large pot and now they are beginning to flower. I couldn’t believe the colour when the flower opened. So far the others are white with blue edges.

In extras is a terrible shot of the rare black fantail. As it is unlikely that I’ll ever get a good shot I decided to post it. The wee bird is very dark brown to black, with a little white spot behind each eye. It is fearless and will fly so close to me that I instinctively duck. It has come into my house only once, though its pied mate comes in often.
