Back in London

There’s a pile of feathers outside the chicken house. The metal door is hanging off it’s runners. It looks like cunning badger has ripped the door free. The good news is that it left the cockerel and all three new layers, but it’s sad to lose our old buff.

So, my early departure is delayed as I strengthen the door and protect it from further attack. I deploy drills, screws, bricks and rocks in this emergency response. I’m off to London today until Sunday.

After work I walk through Holyrood to Waverley. I love the ability to get to the city centre, walking through grassed parkland. Edinburgh’s great for green spaces.

The train is busy, but punctual. The walk from Kings Cross to the flat has none of Edinburgh’s greenery, though I do skirt Regents Park.
