Doors done!

Richard beavered away non stop today - I think in the first few days he was a bit too relaxed, and then yesterday he realised just how much work was still needed. He's a perfectionist. It feels like he's been living with us for weeks. Today he was delighted because for the first time Archie did not bark at him when he tried to come in.

Rufus and his mum popped by with some very sad news, then Mary popped by with George and Lola. She now realises (as we did) that she can’t cope with two dogs, and will have to give them back. We sat out the back while the dogs played. She's exhausted looking after them - taking them out, cleaning up after them, taking them for grooming, trying to stop them barking at the gate...

But we got some good news today. Very exciting news. Jordan and Sara are now parents! A wee girl at 5lbs 8oz. Mum and baby fine. Can’t wait to meet her! Though I don’t think Archie will be quite as keen.
