Featherbrained

My Dear Fellows & Dear Princess,

I was up and out early this morning; not really feeling it. A four day weekend will do that to you. I had kind of forgotten how to get out of bed and also what I do for a living.

"I feel ya," agreed Lemon. We'd both had nice Easter breaks and neither of us in the mood for work. Everything just felt kind of fuzzy today, and neither of us could remember our passwords.

I told Lemon about my weekend instead. And then she told me her younger boys (I think they're around 9 and 10) had been teaching her grandson (I think he's around 2) the words to "If You're Happy And You Know It."

"Awwww... " thought Lemon, "how nice," as the strains of "If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands..." floated through from the other room. Apparently it went something like this:

If you're happy and you know it clap your hands
(clap clap clap)
If you're happy and you know it clap your hands
(clap clap clap)
If you're happy and you know it and you really want to show it
If you're happy and you know it clap your hands
(clap clap clap)

Lemon smiled to herself, as her boys continued on to the second verse:

If you're happy and you know it touch your dick...

Lemon FLEW through to the front room. "What was THAT?!?" she asked.

"It's not our fault!" her boys protested. "His dad taught him the words! And look, he knows all the actions!"

Lemon looked. And found that her grandson was indeed poking himself in the groin along to the song.

"It was hard not to laugh," she told me. "That poor kid. He's going to get into SUCH trouble when he starts at Kindy."

And that's about as productive as the two of us got today. Thank god this is just a 2 day week before the next bank holiday comes along.

p.s. Random thought. I was just thinking about Enya. Wouldn't it be hilarious if the reason we don't know her surname is because it's "Enya Bumhole" or "Enya Fanny". I actually made myself laugh out loud in my head, thinking that. What's wrong with me?
